A business website has larger field of operation which includes procurement & sharing of business information related to buying and selling of products. On the other hand an E-Commerce has a narrow field of operation involving electronic transmission medium that caters to buying and selling and essentially involves monetary transaction online.
It is not necessary for a Business website to have an E-Commerce website but It is necessary for an E-Commerce website to have a Business website.
A business website can involve the use of internet, intranet or extranet whereas an E-Commerce website involves the mandatory use of internet.
